Welcome to kidchurch

Here at Bethesda, we want to partner with you in raising the next generation of Jesus followers. From the littlest of babies to our oldest KidChurch kids, we want you to know that you are not alone.

Our volunteers are excited to care for your little ones! It is our desire that you are able to take the time each Sunday to fully engage in the worship and teaching experience! Each of our spaces has age appropriate toys, activities and lessons aimed to enhance your child's relationship with God and with others. If there are any specific needs for your child, just let us know! We're so glad you're here!

CRAWLING IN FAITH

Just as we learn to crawl before we can walk, we believe that the foundation for growing in our faith is understanding who God is!

God is INFINITE! That means God is for forever and ever. His power is infinite. His promises are infinite. His grace and mercy are infinite. His love for you is infinite. God is the beginning and the end. There are no limitations that we can put on God. I pray that this month you are reminded that there are no prayers too big or too small, no problems too big or too small, no worries too big or too small for your Heavenly Father. He can handle it all.

Who is God? GOD IS INFINITE!

WALKING IN FAITH

Matthew 9:9 > “As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.”

This month, our 4&5's Crew will watch the movie “Encanto” and learn that even though we might not be super strong or be able to see into the future, God has trusted us with some pretty special gifts. Not everyone has the same gift, but God knows that when we include people who aren’t like us (and we work together with people who might have different gifts than us) we can do some pretty amazing things!

1ST - 3RD GRADE SPACE

RUNNING IN FAITH

Welcome to Mini Movie Month!

We started the month reading about Matthew, a tax collector who had very few friends. Matthew’s job meant that he was sometimes treated poorly and wasn’t always welcome in crowds. But even though most people disliked Matthew, Jesus showed him love and compassion. One dinner and a special invite later, Matthew became an important part of Jesus' ministry on Earth! Just like Jesus welcomed Matthew into his life and called him a friend, we have the power to show kindness to people who aren’t like us and change our lives (and theirs) for the better!

This month, our 1st-5th Graders will  watch the movie "Out of My Mind" and learn that we can be kind, caring, and accepting of all kinds of people - just like Jesus was.

We can include people who aren't like us, and in turn, show the world what it really means to follow Jesus!

4TH & 5TH GRADE SPACE

SPRINTING IN FAITH

What does it mean to follow Jesus? What does it look like? What does it feel like? God sent the Holy Spirit to live with everyone who believes in Him, and He promised that it would help us answer these tough questions.

The end of the school year is always tough. The weather is getting warmer and the sun is peeking out behind the clouds more and more. Summer is so close, yet so far. While we’re busy waiting for something good, how can we possibly be PATIENT?  This month, we’ll be taking a look at PATIENCE, and what the Bible has to say about honoring our resonsibilities while ALSO being excited for the good things that are coming our way!
